Seriously, who is editing the new promo clips for A Good Day To Die Hard. They are literally god awful. They jump from section to section, one minute John McClane is there the next shot he's ten metres away for his last position. They jump all over the place.
Now I'm hoping this is because the marketers are trying to condense longer clips into shortened sequences for promotional purposes. Or the fact the film is R-Rated that they're having to cut out any profanity and violence for advertising.
But if that's the case why not use different sequences, or release red-band clips that are cohesive. Seriously, based on the trailers and posters I was excited for this film. But these promotional clips have got me really concerned about the quality of the film, which I'm sure is not the intended effect.
Now I'm really into films and movie marketing so I'm assuming the reasons for the cuts are as mentioned above, but Joe Public is just going to wonder what the hell is going on. Well done marketing team.
